Kayaking Guides – Part time + Full Time Positions Available

Join Our Team for the 2026/27 Kayaking Season
Do you love being on the water, enjoy working with people, and have a passion for the outdoors?
We’re currently seeking enthusiastic and capable kayak guides to join our Auckland-based team for the 2026/27 season (October 2026 – May 2027).

Positions available:
• Lead Guides
• Assistant Guides with a desire to develop their skills and progress into leadership roles

This is a mixed role that may include:
• Guiding day and night kayak tours/courses
• Trip preparation and logistics
• Gear maintenance and cleaning
• Retail/shop support
• Supporting operations behind the scenes

We’re especially interested in people who:
• Have previous kayaking and outdoor experience
• Are reliable, adaptable, and calm under pressure
• Want to grow into more senior guiding responsibilities over time
• Can assist across a variety of operational tasks, not just guiding

Applicants Must Have:
• A genuine passion for kayaking and the marine environment.
• Respect for cultural diversity, strong communication skills, and good spoken English.
• A full NZ driver licence held for over two years (a P-Endorsement licence is an advantage)
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Lead Guides must have NZOIA Sea Kayak Leader qualification, or the ability to demonstrate skills to this level\
